I’ll be honest, minus the Ford decal and the fender stripes, this isn’t too bad! I’m quite a fan of adding some contrast to super-bright paint job like that, especially the black-out roof panel and hood decal. Sadly I’ll never get over the fact all the vents are superficial and are thus categorized under my definition of “factory rice.”

Oh, yeah, that’s a horrible idea since it makes the vehicle unsafe to everyone on the road at night or during daytime moments where its needed to see where other cars are by their headlights.

Im not against niteshades, but I dont think they should be that dark. I kinda wanna do my taillights but extremely lightly. Just enough to darken the red but not enough to get even close to black. Like a smoke effect

Even then, I’m still not a fan of the practice due to the reduced visibility. Painting the surrounds that aren’t used to reflect light? That’s something I’m wanting to do to the Miata’s headlights to mimic the rare Mazdaspeed units (note the reflectors are left intact in chrome).
